YMCA of Greater Seattle Program Quality Supervisor, Youth Development in Seattle, Washington

Overview

Provides operational management of the Measurement & Outcomes process for Youth Development programs across the Association, to ensure an exceptional experience for participants and families. Supports the Program Quality Improvement (PQI) cycle through coordination of assessments, trainings, data tracking and goal setting, working directly with program staff. Ensures Association quality and assessment standards are met.

Responsibilities

  1. Manages data sets and evaluation scores from Youth Development programs using tools like PQA, Fidelity Checklists and other tools as deployed. Support and manage the data and record-keeping elements of site-based goals and Association wide objectives that drive quality improvements for youth in our programs. Complete evaluation and required paperwork in a timely manner.

  2. Active participant in the various aspects of the PQI system including: site visits, consensus meetings, trainings in order to ensure an on-going working knowledge of the entire process of assess, plan, improve.

  3. Professionally communicates confidential and evaluative information with program staff related to quality improvement and staff development.

  4. May assist in delivery and/or coordination of training and technical assistance services to support implementation of the quality action plan.

  5. Manages the annual schedule for assessments and peer review related to the PQI cycle.

  6. Manages the logistics of training for staff meetings and organizing trainings.

  7. Attends staff meetings and trainings as required.

  8. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Three years or more ofexperience working with children; camps, child care, tutoring, nanny, etc.

  2. High school graduate or equivalent.

  3. Strong customer service skills, responding to multiple questions by phone, email and in person. Ability to problem solve and resolve conflict.

  4. Strong computer skills and experience working with word processing, spreadsheet and database software.

  5. Demonstrated attention to detail and confidentiality of evaluative information.

  6. Knowledge of standard office equipment such as copiers and phone systems.

PREFERRED POSITION ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS

  1. Prior experience and training in the Weikart Center Program Quality Improvement (PQI) system.

  2. One year or more of supervisory experience in child care/youth development program.

  3. Prior experience in training coordination and implementation

  4. Knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.).

  5. Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful.
