Responsibilities

GENERAL FUNCTION

Working closely with the Director of Creative Services and Director of Marketing, this role serves as the liaison for association wide marketing requests, creative asset management and production scheduling needs. In addition to the functional aspects of the role, this position is also expected to have day-to-day contact with external resources to ensure on-time delivery of digital and print collateral. Secondarily serves as a graphic production artist in support of the creative team.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES

  • Serve as the first point of contact for the marketing department with internal/external departments, following through in a timely manner and promptly responding to requests for information

  • Receive creative requests/briefs, checking for accuracy and completeness while collaborating with the service provider leads

  • Secure all necessary resources to move projects forward, with clearly defined scope of work, timing/schedule, budget, and materials needed for execution

  • Maintain the schedule integrity throughout the lifecycle of a project with regular check-insthrough to completion

  • Coordinate status updates for all projects in collaboration with service teams rescheduling projects and resetting expectations based on new or changing priorities as needed

  • Support the creative team in a graphic production artist role when workload exceeds capacity of the design team and/or as needed to ensure on-time delivery

  • Coordinate with external vendors and branches for collateral distribution and process/track invoices

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, management, design or related field

  • Three plus years of related work experience preferred

  • Strong project management skills

  • Demonstrated experience working with designers, writers, and marketing managers in the successful development of marketing communications collateral

  • Knowledge of timelines and resources necessary for digital, social, website, email, and print communications

  • Three plus years of experience with Office 365 products with focus on Sharepoint and Excel and Adobe Creative Suite with focus on InDesign and Acrobat Pro

  • Soft skills including:

  • Problem solving, negotiating and collaborating

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple, concurrent projects against aggressive timelines without compromising accuracy or quality

  • Excellent verbal, written and listening skills

  • Positive attitude and general spirit of teamwork

  • Comfortable working in fluid environments

  • Comfortable working in a PC environment

PREFERRED POSITION ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS

  • Experience with the YMCA or other non-profit organization preferred

  • Experience withproject and workflow management software
