YMCA of Greater Seattle Alive and Free Outreach Supervisor (Program Director I) in Seattle, Washington
The YMCA’s Alive and Free Outreach Supervisor supports the ongoing excellent performance of the Alive & Free Outreach Team by supervising Outreach Workers and providing oversight of the quality of service to youth and community partners. Provides direction to Outreach Workers on their day-to-day activities with youth clients and during response to incidents of community violence.
Outreach Workers require a high degree of supervisory oversight based on the nature of their work (field-based engagement in high-risk locations), the demographic of their clientele (youth who are likely to be victims or perpetrators of violence), and the unique qualifications of Outreach Workers (individuals who have had personal experience with gangs, violence and the criminal justice system). A successful Outreach Supervisor will have the ability to support the initial and ongoing distinctive professional development needs of their staff team given these variables.
