Job Summary

We have an awesome opportunity for the critical position of Business Administrator. In this role, you will beresponsible for keeping the branch running smoothly.You willensure that appropriate internal controls and accounting procedures are followed. You will work closely with the Branch Executive Director regarding all business and assist with the branch budget. Additionally, you will provide administrative support for the YMCA’s annual fundraising efforts.


  1. Manage deposits, and weekly cash reports, and ensuring adherence to all financial guidelines. Prepare appropriate related reports.

  2. Assist with annual budget process including analyzing past data and imputing information using YMCA budgeting tools.

  3. Provides historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.

  4. Maintains office efficiency by programming and upkeep of office equipment including telephone system, fax machines, copy machine and printers, as well as all other office machines.

  5. Provide leadership and administrative support to the branch and Association annual fundraising, including event coordination, record-keeping, materials production, monthly billing to donors, and thank your communication. May also provide similar leadership and support to other major branch events.

  6. Completes standard operating procedures and follow up on work results.

  7. Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.

  8. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending RTE events and conferences; ultimately working towards a YUSA leadership certification

  9. Assist Branch Executive in reviewing financial statements and in preparing variance reports. Distribute monthly financial statements. Develop, implement and manage budgets for assigned departments.

  10. Provides information and administrative support to programs. Assures good communication between program sites and office.

  11. Provide general administrative support to Branch Executive for board/committees; attends monthly meetings and keeps official minutes

  12. Maintain calendar of all branch deadlines.

  13. Other related duties as needed.

  1. Two years or more of college in a related field (accounting, finance, business management.) or equivalent education/experience. Four years of education/experience preferred.

  2. Three or more years of related experience including financial procedures, customer service, office management, and/or accounting/bookkeeping.

  3. One years of more experience in supervising staff preferred.

  4. Advanced knowledge of/experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Pay: $44,000 - $47,000/yr
