Where you’ll work…

You’ll work in our welcoming aquatic facility that offers programs ranging from swim lessons, to aquatic exercise classes, to family swim, and so much more. Access to all 13 locations of our YMCA association is a staff benefit.

When you’ll work…

We are currently looking for committed staff who are able to work a consistent schedule between the hours of 8am and 5pm Monday-Friday


What you’ll be doing…

We are looking for trustworthy leaders who want to make positive connections with our members and program participants. You need to have a keen eye for safety and set the tone for a safe environment for kids and families. You will play a key role in ensuring safety standards are met – in the water and on the deck, serving as first responder in emergencies, maintaining safety equipment, and serving on an engaged and dynamic Aquatics team.

Who are you?

If you're the right candidate for the job, you have or are willing to become a certified Lifeguard, display positive communication skills, thrive on serving kids and families and can step up to offer support at the first sign it's needed. You have the desire and energy to make a positive impact in the daily lives of the people in our community.


You are 18 years of age or older and have:

  • 6 months+ of lifeguarding experience.

  • Current state approved first-aid certification.

    • Current state approved CPR certification – Pro or Basic Life Support.
    • Lifeguard certification – YMCA or Red Cross.
    • YMCA of Greater Seattle scanning training or equivalent
    • Ability to maintain certification-level of physical and mental readiness.
  • Must be observant and able to react calmly, quickly and with good judgment in an emergency.

  • We can facilitate the process of you getting certified if you don’t have the required certifications yet. Please still apply if you are interested!
