Job Summary

Provides administrative and clinical supervision and oversees the day-to-day functions of the direct clinical service staff for the Family Services and Mental Health programs based our of offices at1000 Auburn Way South, Auburn, WA. Participates actively in program, department and branch management teams. This position works some selected and scheduled evenings and weekends as the Clinical Supervisor on-call, rotating as a team with other clinical supervisors, providing on-call support after-hours for crisis situations that require supervisor input for decision making.

Responsibilities

  1. Leads in the preparation of county or state audits and responds to corrective action post audit.

  2. Leads the Council on Accreditation process by reviewing standards and providing clear communication with staff regarding COA standards of best practice, pre-site visit preparation of written materials and assisting in preparation for the agency site visit,

  3. Ensures effective care and documentation by medical providers, including clinical assessment and prescriptive activities,

  4. Provides clinical and administrative supervision to assigned staff,

  5. Provides supervision to licensure candidates,

  6. Supervises Master’s level and Bachelor level interns,

  7. Provides relevant trainings for interns,

  8. Facilitates daily and/or weekly meetings with clinical teams as appropriate to program,

  9. Recruits, hires, trains, coaches and evaluates assigned staff and volunteers. Orients new staff to legal, contractual and procedural elements of the job. Provides and/or facilitates on-going staff training,

  10. Provides technical assistance and case consultation to staff by fielding calls during business hours and after hours.

  11. Represents the YMCA at interdisciplinary community meetings,

  12. Ensures all families served by the Family Services and Mental Health programs receive high quality and effective services. Ensures urgency, intensity and frequency of services calibrated to the youth and family’s individual cultural background and mental health needs, and that families are bridged to long term community supports.

  13. Ensures all required data from direct reports are submitted in a timely manner.

  14. Conducts quality assurance (QA) activities so that all services are delivered and documented per WAC and King County contractual requirements. Participates in formal QA review process.

  15. Participates in the program, department and branch management teams.

  16. Models standards of excellence for others by showing exceptional leadership skills.

  17. Participates actively in annual YMCA fundraising campaign by sharing the impact of YMCA programs and soliciting funds to support services to people in need.

Qualifications

  1. Masters degree in social work, mental health counseling, or related field. Licensure as an Independent Clinical Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist through the Washington State Department of Health. Two years post licensure experience as a Department of Health approved supervisor in a person-centered, solution-focused team environment preferred.

  2. Two years work experience as a Mental Health Professional and Child Mental Health Specialist.

  3. Coordination and leadership of social service or mental health agency functions preferred.

  4. Two or more years training and experience providing emergent, skills-focused, intensive, short term crisis intervention for families preferred and/or experience working with youth and families in the Child Welfare System.

  5. Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  6. Prefer experience with wraparound, motivational interviewing and solution-focused service delivery models.

  7. Working knowledge of youth and family mental health, juvenile justice and chemical dependency systems and providers in King County and Washington State child welfare system strongly preferred.

  8. Knowledge of relevant Washington Administrative Codes governing Crisis Services and Child Welfare work.

  9. Intermediate proficiency with computers, basic Microsoft Office software and case management/client tracking software.

  10. Previous experience with project management and business planning, including tracking and summarizing data into reports in a timely manner.

  11. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, a high sense of urgency, and ability to consistently adhere to strict timelines and follow-through.

  12. Prefer knowledge of and previous experience with diverse populations (language, culture, race, gender, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc). Ability to speak any language in addition to English helpful and preferred.

Pay: $63,149 - $78,938/Yr.
