Responsibilities:

What you’ll be doing…

We have an awesome opportunity for the essential position of Facility Supervisor. You will oversee facility operations and assuming leadership in collaboration with program area leads, ensuring a safe and positive experience for members and guests.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES

  1. Oversees and provides leadership for facility and program operations.

  2. Actively engages with program area leads/leadership throughout shift to ensure safe facility operations during assigned hours.

  3. Enforces member code of conduct, regulations, and policies and responds to emergencies, conflicts and issues as needed during assigned hours. Completes follow up communications to the appropriate branch staff and related reporting.

  4. Circulates throughout the building, to ensure safety and welfare of users and security of building.

  5. Addresses and performs routine maintenance duties such as changing towels, checking locker rooms and cleaning equipment. Ensures maintenance issues are resolved.

  6. Monitors, reports and addresses mechanical problems as specified or that surface during assigned hours. If deemed necessary, is responsible for making decision on building closure.

  7. May conduct membership tours or provide instruction and orientation to equipment.

  8. Supports member engagement and retention activities of the branch.

  9. Assists and supports staff in answering inquiries, providing program information, and dealing with member issues that arise.

  10. May open and/or close facility.

  11. Adheres to the components of the Service Pledge.

  12. Attends staff meetings and training as required.

Qualifications:

You are 18 years of age or older and have:

  1. High school education or equivalent. Two or more years of post high school education preferred.

  2. Two years or more of related experience.

  3. Ability to provide direction to others, including enforcement of the member code of conduct and resolution of conflict.

  4. Ability to circulate in all areas of the facility and grounds and respond to safety and emergency situations.

  5. Current state approved first aid certification.*

  6. Current state approved CPR and AED certification.*

  7. Listen First Level I* and II** training

  8. Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.). Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful.

  • Necessity and timing determined by branch.
